The guardsman saw a tall, powerfully built youth, naked but for a loin-cloth, and sandals strapped high about his ankles. His skin was burned brown as by the sun of some far off wasteland and the guard glanced nervously at his broad shoulders, massive chest and heavy arms. A single look at the moody, broad-browed features told him the man was not of the people of Elwynn. From under a mop of unruly black hair smoldered a pair of dangerous blue eyes. A long sword hung in a leather scabbard strapped to his back. The barbarian quickly strode right up to that rattling guardsman and with an oddly kind smile he simply said, "Hello, human person! You have squirrels in city?"

From the savage wastes of the Badlands heralds the man known only as Oshan. Orphaned as a child he was found by a nomadic tribe of orcs who had grown weary of the demonic ways of their people, choosing instead to renew old covenants with eldritch spirits, the ways of the shaman. Settling high upon the mountains, they practiced their old ways in assumed safety away from their fel-brethren. The wise and very ancient Seer of the village took Oshan as his ward; in one day hoping the boy would bridge the cultural gap between orc and human.
