A KIN'S ANGUISH: PART 2 // H-OR-DE?
The mighty Tethis stood readily as Kaalir came barreling down upon him. Claws drawn, Tethis began to charge Kaalir. The two, seemingly irresistable forces drew closer, and closer, untill finally the two met in contact. Kaalir, knowing he would be outmatched by Tethis' mighty size and strength, managed to rip a jaw-sized piece of flesh out of Tethis before being knocked back by the carnivourous raptor's size. Thromm'ka began opening fire almost instantaneously, sending arrow, after arrow, after arrow into the beasts heart, but they seemed to have little to no effect on him.
Tethis turned his attention off of Kaalir, and began barreling down on Thromm, Kaalir, getting back up, sore from the charge made my Tethis, saw his fangs, poised to strike at his master. With blinding speed, Kaalir made a mad dash to save Thromm. Just as Tethis made his strike upon Thromm, Kaalir knocked Thromm out of the way. Unfortuneately, Kaalir took the viscious strike, to his ribs and stomach. With an anguished cry in agony, Kaalir fell unconscious from pain. Tethis began loitering over the fallen Kaalir, preparing to feast on his kill. Thromm'ka, now seeing nothing more then blinding hatred in his eyes for the beast that hurt his brother, and seeing Tethis having lost his attention on himself, saw a prime chance for vengeance. Maalar charged Tethis with his trusty spear in his hands, and with all the strength of his being, rammed his spear through the side of Tethis' skull. The grinding and cracking his Tethis' skull could be heard throughout the surviving raptor packs, as they all turned towards the sickening cracks and breaks and arrived just in time to Tethis, the Terror of the Vale, fall....
Thromm, then turned his attention to Kaalir, and began examining his fallen brother. The vile bite of Tethis was fresh, still bleeding out, and was already becoming infected. Thromm dug into his pack and began crafting a tourniquet out of the silk cloths he kept as sleeping linens. With Kaalir's wound stifled, Thromm'ka picked up his life-long friend and began to pack him into his backpack, to carry him.
As the local raptors began creeping closer and closer to the fallen Tethis, they slowly began to realize thier leader was gone. Almost instantaneously, the raptors flew into a combat frenzy. Every raptor began to turn on thier own kind, and begn fighting, and killing each other to prove THEY deserve to become the new packleader. Fresh blood from the fallen raptors began spilling onto the ground in massive amounts. The earth ran crimson red....
Thromm'ka, knowing Kaalir did not have much time, Made a mad dash north to escape the raptor frenzy. A few infant raptors gave chase to him, but he was easily able to outrun them. Thromm'ka ran for almost an hour, franticly looking for other signs of Orcish or Troll or Tauren life. After having no luck, Thromm'ka suddenly felt lightheaded, and fell unconscious himself....
"Wakey, wakey 'unter.... Time joo' be wakin' up, mon'...."
Thromm'ka Maalar regained consciousness when he heard the strange voice; raspy, feminent, but bold...
"I'm sure your pet'd be 'appy to see ya awake, 'mon...."
As Thromm's eyes began to focus in on what was making the noise, he slowly rose to his feet to find out where he was and what had taken him. He found himself in a round room, with hammocks lining the walls and a round table with a firepit in the middle, possibly for cooking meat. As he started to head outside, he started to hear a not-to-familiar sound....The sound of civilization.
" Well, well, look who be alive. 'ow you be doin', mon...."
Thromm turned around and saw the person who has been caring for him in his unconsious state... A witchdoctor!
"Who are you? And what have you done with Kaalir?"
Thromm was guarded, but trusting.
"Be at ease, Orc, Your pet be fine...Da one joo call 'Kaalir' is sick 'an injured..."
"I know, I was trying to find somebody, anybody who could help me. I must of ran for hours... That's when I fell, passed out. So, who ARE you?"
Thromm'ka looked puzzled. he had no idea what to make of this troll. The witchdoctor stared into the sun for about a minute and responded...
"Ahh, be pardon'd for me bein' rude. Allow m'eh to introduce m'self. My name be Zulaf Mojomon, I be da witchdoctor 'ere in Grom'gol. You be safe 'ere. Dis be a horde controlled camp, 'mon..."
"H-or-de? what is this, Horde?"
Zulaf gave a mighty chuckle.
"You jokin' mon? Hmmm....So you never heard of da Horde? Well, it be time you did. Your friend, 'Kaalir' is still in da danger 'mon. Through my magics, I've been able to stem da infection upon your wolf friend, Kaalir. But I 'avent da power wit' me to fully cleanse your friend, but I know sombody 'ho does...."
Thromm'ka eagerly leaned in close, knowing this could be the only way to save Kaalir
"Tell me...."
"Da time has come for you to pay da' visit to the mighty cap'tal of da Horde. Head to da top of that tower d'ere....I'll meet you with 'Kaalir' in a bit.."
Thromm'ka started running towards the spire Zulaf pointed at. After what felt like an eternity of climbing, and crawling the spire, he finally reached the top. He had a feeling it would be awhile before Zulaf would reach the top, so he pulled out his bow and began plucking it out of boredom. After about 15 minutes of bow plucking monotiny, Zulaf finally made it to the pinnacle of the spire, Kaalir right behind.
"So, joo made it. Well, it should be 'ere any minute, mon...."
Far in the distance, a faint rumbling echo'd through the sky, growing louder, and louder as it got closer. Finally the mechanical contraption finally stopped before Thromm'ka, Kaalir and Zulaf...
"D'ere it is, mon....Da Zeppy Zeppy to Ogri'mmar! Well, what'cho waitin' on, 'mon? Get on! It should take you right to Ogri'mmar, once you...."
Thromm'ka began corraling Kaalir onto the zepplin as Zulaf continued to give Thromm'ka instructions...
"land in Ogri'mmar, head to da Valley of Honor. There, you will find a Troll named Xon'cha, He be' a very wise pet wrangler and caretaker. If anyone can save your friend, It be him..."
Slowly as the zepplin began pulling away, Thromm'ka began to yell .....
"Thank you, witchdoctor! I shall never forget what you have done for me and Kaalir!"
Thromm'ka kept close glimpse of Zulaf, he continued to wave goodbye until he was completely out of sight. Thromm'ka Maalar slowly crawled up to the head of the zepplin, with Kaalir by his side.
"Don't worry Kaalir, I will get you the help you need, no matter the cost......So, it is off to this 'Ogrimmar' we head. Let us see what this 'Horde' is all about....."
