[edit] History
[edit] Before The Rise of the Horde
- Long ago born into a family of lucrative tradesman in Silvermoon city, Erissia was the eldest of three children. The Dawnhammers had no problem making ends meet, and taught their children that business and money were life. Erissia followed the path of trade like her family, as well as submitting herself to the art of stealth and when given the opportunity, assassination. At a young age Aroria Dawnhammer, Erissia's younger sister, was raped and battered by a very drunk and inebriated Knight at a local tavern where she worked as a barmaid. After returning home from a short mission, Erissia was outraged to hear of the incident. She set out to find the perpetrator but after only a few days returned back to the city unsuccessful. Months passed and it became clear that Aroria was pregnant. Still devastated during her final stages of pregnancy, she became delusional and refused to eat more than necessary to get by.
[edit] Fond Farewell
- Noticing her sisters new found attitude towards life, Erissia did the best she could to aid her younger sister in successfully delivering the child. After giving birth to a small baby boy, Aroria slipped into a deep state of unconsciousness. Erissia decided to take the child into her care until his mother had awoken. However, after only a few hours Aroria had quietly passed on. Devastated by the situation, Erissia assumed the responsibility of raising her sister's son as her own, naming the child Leandor Dawnhammer. Erissia and Leandor took up residence in a small one room apartment in what is now considered the ruins of Silvermoon. When Leandor became of age to start making his own decisions, he decided to learn the art of war and combat. Erissia, who loved her son more than anything, encouraged him to do what made him happy and promised to sponsor him financially.
[edit] The Sunwell and Today
- Long after Leandor left the city to become a soldier and learn about the Church of light, Silvermoon was under siege by the King Arthas and his scourge in their epic rampage for the Sunwell. Erissia fought off what she could and retreated, badly beaten, to Sunstrider Isle in hope of refuge. Still a place full of life, untouched by foul undeath, she encountered a small band of elves in the same position and recovered with their aid.
- Leandor, much stronger than before, returned to his homeland after hearing of the devastation only to discover leagues of scourge infesting the area. Upon losing the Sunwell's magic, he immediately felt weak and vulnerable, which was all the time the tide scourge around him needed. The scourge however, was not what killed him. At the moment of attack, a wave of sharpened arrows fired through the scene slaying him and his foes down to bleed and rot. Knowing Leandor's travels did not take him very far, thoughts often crossed Erissia's mind that her son may be dead. However, deluded by grief she holds doubt of his death, wishing to be reunited.
- Years later Eris has become more so broken emotionally, giving in to her addictive personality and indulging in heavy wines and bloodthistle. Her attempts to forget herself and her past are put to an immediate halt when the Blood Elves join the Horde forces. She has befriended many of Silvermoon's current travelers, some times being nosy enough to watch them from the shadows. After leaving the cities walls for the first time in over a year, Erissia finds ways to take out her frustration by resuming her old ways of business. Now realizing the finer things in life, she strives to make a better living for herself through traveling and learning, hoping to one day to regain the family she had lost.
