[edit] Physical Description

Laramie is a well kept, gray haired man with some facial hair. Most noticeable is that he wears an eye patch over his right eye, and is never seen without it. He stands fairly tall, at just over six feet, and is fairly well built for a man of his age.

[edit] History

Hailing from Stratholme, Jeron Laramie enlisted in the military in his late teens. Though trained and serving well before hand, he saw his first military action during the first war when he was but a private, sent with a handful of others into the Deadmines to rescue the future supreme commander, Anduin Lothar. Laramie was injured grievously in the tryst, suffering a crushing blow from an ogre that left him incapacitated. He survived the ordeal, but was unable to fight for the remainder of the war. In recognition of his service, he was promoted to Sergeant, presented with a medal for being injured in the defense of the Alliance, and honorably discharged.

During the short years remaining before the outbreak of the second war, Laramie retired to his home in Stratholme. There he was wed, to a peasent girl named Alixa Heller. She bore him a son, Abeo, but tragically passed away during childbirth. Laramie was struck with sadness, but powered through his troubles with the help of his young son.

Having recovered by the time of the second war, Laramie re-enlisted and offered his blade to the battlefield. Not long after his re-enlistment, the Horde came upon Stratholme as they prepared a major oil shipment to the front. Stratholme fell, and Laramie lost his eye when it was pierced by a stray spear. He fled to Stormwind with his son, and was subsequently present for its fall as well, when the Horde all but destroyed the nation. Due to the significant deaths, Laramie became a de facto officer, which became permanent upon his survival of the battles.

Over the twenty years that passed between the second and third wars, Jeron and Abeo lived quiet lives. Jeron took care to raise the boy to be strong, and shortly before the third war, Abeo too enlisted in the army. The two each fought a single battle in the war, a terrible one in which they were forced, as per orders by Prince Arthas, to lay waste to their beloved city, as plagued grain had been distributed amongst its people and transformed those that ate it into horrible undead. Following the culling of Stratholme, Jeron and Abeo fled to Stormwind, where Jeron joined the order to become a paladin, with Abeo remaining as a soldier of Stormwind.

Tragedy once again struck Laramie in the year following the re-opening of the Dark Portal, as his beloved son Abeo was slain. Hearing news of a family at Menethil Keep being captured by a group of Dragonmaw orcs from the area, Abeo set off by himself to rescue them. He came across the people, and was able to set them free, but not before he himself would be captured, and subsequently executed.

In memory of the will of his son, Laramie has since loaned his own spear to the war effort of the dwarves of Ironforge, joining in their fighting in Alterac Valley as a warrior for the Stormpike Guard.
